6” x 12”, on a 1” thick block of wood, this wooden figure was custom drawn, hand cut, painted and fitted with a sawtooth hanger. Charizard Irezumi was inspired by my love for anime and Japanese traditional styled body tattoos (called Irezumi.) There is an old Japanese tale, that tells of a Koi fish swimming up stream and became a dragon.
